I too didn't have the privilege of knowing Steve that well. I only met him for short time when we met for another family member's memorial. But I do know that he was a special man, because you see only a special man could bring that much happiness, joy and love to Hallie or to his family. Hallie, you are all in my thoughts, my prayers and my heart during this time of great sorrow. Death is but one stage of the cycle of life, when the spirit and essence of a person leaves the confines of their body. For as long as you keep Steve's memory and spirit alive he will never really die. He is with us still in all that is around us, if we but only look, just as is says in one of my favorite poems. I Am With You Still I give to you this one thought to keep. I am with you still ---so do not weep. I am the gentle winds that lightly blow and the first flakes of Winter’s snow. I am the sound that the gentle rain does bring and the sweet song of the birds that sing . I am the sound of a cat purring and the soft sound of its stirring. I am the Sun that rises in the morning sky and hummingbirds as they flap their wings to fly. I am the stars that shine in the sky at night and the moon that shows so bright. Fascinating thing this life... I knew both Steve and Hallie, all the way back to Milburn Jr. High... (yep 30+ years ago) I guess you could say we ran in the same circles. My memories of both of them make me smile. :) I do believe in fate. And how perfect it is to think how these two amazing people reconnected. You both will forever share a place in my heart.

Hey Hey ma, said the way you move gonna make me groove.... Steve was the guy to go to for many things, many memories of him involve him helping me, and others without question. I will miss him and I know together we can overcome such a loss. I love my family, but it is only a wink compared to Steve's love. He will be missed.
